Plot

Plot

Dream Lord

The Dream Lord is the dark side of the Doctor, who has control over dreams. He was "awoken" by speck of psychic pollen from the candle meadows of Karass Don Slava that had got stuck in the TARDIS, and woke as it was warmed up. The Dream Lord drew his personality from the Doctor's inner darkness.

Ecnodeen

The Ecnodeen are a species of aliens that took over the bodies of old people in a dream created by the Dream Lord, and only their green eyestalk is seen.. The Doctor talks to them as if he knows of them, indicating that they do exist. They could turn people into dust by spraying a green cloud over them. They could also use humans as hosts and allow them to live longer.

Confidential: Arthurian Legend

The TARDIS trio are thrown into two competing worlds that are not what they seem. The Dream Lord has created a dilemma to be solved and Arthur Darvill, who plays Rory, is on hand to explain how the three companions set about finding out which world is really real.

Confidential is on set to see Rory and Amy's future in Leadworth, complete with pregnancy, ponytails and predatory pensioners. Arthur turns stunt supremo, gliding through the air and picking a fight with an old lady. We also see the TARDIS from a safe haven to an ice-bound death trap, hurtling towards an icy end.

Plot

Saturnynians

The Saturnynians were an exo-skeletal, insectoidal species of fish from the planet Saturnyne. They were notable for their many limbs and their two curved canines. They constantly needed to either consume or come in contact with water and this included moisture in blood. If ever they used perception filters, their teeth would remain and they would smell vaguely of fish.

They also resemble deep dwelling sea life in the respect that they have a great sensitivity to light and while they are able to travel in daylight exposure to direct sunlight will cause them to explode.

The species used perception filter technology, which they used to blend in with the human population of Venice. However, this camouflage was not perfect and gave rise to vampire-like qualities among those in the school. Since the technology couldn't hide reflections, and the human brain couldn't process the two conflicting pieces of information, anyone who saw a member of the species near a reflective surface saw a human without a reflection. Their fangs would also been seen when they fed due to the human subconscious perceiving danger and attempting to alert the conscious mind.

Some time in the species' history their home-world was besieged by the cracks in the universe, ranging from small cracks to cracks that consume the planet's sky. At first the cracks appeared to pose no real danger and the aliens were able to observe other words through some, and "silence" and the "end of all things" in others. Eventually, however, the true nature of the cracks became apparent and Saturnyne was lost. The species it self was not lost. Deciding to take their chances with the cracks that showed other worlds, the Saturnynians fled to worlds with oceans like their own planet. A colony arrived in Venice though it is unknown if any other members of the race made it to other worlds.

Weeping Angels

In this story we learn that whenever an image of a Weeping Angel is created, that too can become an Angel whenever the viewer takes their eye away from it. They were also able to take the conciousness of someone who had died and speak through it in order to communicate. It is warned that one should never look into an Angel's eyes, as they are the "doors to the soul". This could be seen when Amy Pond looked into an Angel's eyes and was made to believe her hand had turned to stone. This ability allowed the Angels to create illusions of the mind, making it easier for them to capture their disoriented prey.

When Angels become older or grow weaker, they do not appear to age in a biological sense. They appear to wear away as a normal statue naturally would over many years. This wearing would become so severe that they did not look like their original forms anymore, losing their wings and becoming more like a typical statue of significant age. These older Weeping Angels do not have the same speed as their "healthy" counterparts, but are still just as deadly. They were seen in the Maze Of The Dead and were apparently responsible for killing the temple's constructors.

The World War II camouflage Daleks were known as “Ironsides” and were working for the British but when confronted by the Doctor his testimony made them reveal their true identity. They were working on the restoration of the Daleks on their ship behind the moon. They sport a union jack beneath their eyestalks.

The Eleventh Hour

In young Ameila’s bedroom there is a crack on her wall.

Prisoner Zero says that the Pandorica will open and silence will fall.

Another crack pops up on the monitor in the Tardis.

A crack appears on the Starship UK.

Victory of the Daleks

After the Tardis dematerialises when the Doctor and Amy leave London in World War II, a crack is seen on the wall. The Doctor notices that Amy forgets previous events from The Stolen Earth/Journeys End.

The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone

The Crack opens on the Byzantium ship. It removed Christian, Marco, Pedro, and Phillip from existence and then the Weeping Angels which close it as the crack needed to consume a complicated space-time event which the Weeping Angels are. The Doctor traced the origin of the temporal explosion behind the crack to the day of Amy's wedding.
